These terms are related to the chatbot service and is applied when possible without conflict with the Guide to Special and General Terms for Dealing with Banking and Electronic Accounts and Services.

 

• The Bank provides this service over the internet using leading security measures, and the Bank is not responsible for any errors that may occur due to the usage of public and unprotected networks and connections. Therefore, the customer is solely responsible for all risks associated with or resulting from their use of the service.

• The user of the messenger service acknowledges that a third party may view, obtain or store the information exchanged during this discussion, and therefore the user knows that it is not allowed to share or disclose any personal or sensitive information. The Bank will only request the user's account number and will send a one-time password (OTP) to the registered mobile number to continue obtaining this service.

• The Bank has the unequivocal right (without giving any reasons and without accountability) to refuse the customer's request to use this service.

• The Bank is not responsible for any damages incurred by the customer resulting from the failure of the networks or poor transmission and reception. On the other hand, the Bank is not responsible for any intentional or unintentional damages resulting from hacking, malware and phishing on the user's computer.

• The Bank has the right at any time and without prior notice to amend or change the terms and instructions related to the service. The Bank also has the right to add, change and/or cancel any of the services provided as part of this service or the software used for it.

• The customer acknowledges that sending the text message is a legal notice to them from the Bank regarding their account transactions, and in the case of sending the text message, the Bank is not responsible for informing the customer about the transaction in a written notice. On the other hand, sending the message by the Bank will be considered as a final and binding notice and the customer waives any right to object with regard to - but not limited to - messages not received for any reason such as turning off the phone, call disconnection, service disconnection and/or ignoring it or failure to read it.

For joint accounts, company accounts or minors' accounts; requests will not be available via the chatbot service.

These terms and conditions are subject to the laws, regulations and instructions in force in the Republic of Iraq and their terms, provisions and conditions are interpreted accordingly, provided that the Baghdad’s courts of law are the competent courts to consider any dispute that may arise from a violation of these terms and conditions.

• Accepting the terms and conditions constitutes my approval and acknowledgment to use the Bank’s Chatbot service.

• The WhatsApp mobile application is one of the approved means to access the Bank’s Chatbot services and is subject to the same terms and conditions.

• The account is not considered opened until after the customer signs all the documents and account opening conditions and then receive the Bank’s approval within 30 days from date of submitting the electronic account opening application, otherwise the request is considered canceled.

• In the event that the Bank becomes aware, at a later stage, of any wrong information that has been provided during the account opening process, the bank has the right to close the account immediately.

• In the event of any discrepancy between the English and Arabic texts, the Arabic text prevails.

• These terms are considered an integral part of the general terms and conditions for accounts opening and are to be read with them as a single unit.
